Viktor Blom performed heroics during the recent WPT Online Series, but was the first casualty of the final table. Blom found himself short-stacked with only five big blinds and he moved all-in with Kc-4c. Haxton called on the button with 8c-8s, which held to send the talented Swede home in sixth.
Mexico-based grinder George Wolff lost a coin flip in a battle of the blinds to finish fifth. Wiktor Malinowski open-raised enough from the small blind to set Wolff all-in and Wolff bit. Wolff showed 4h-4c and was flipping against the Ac-Kh of his German opponent. An ace landed on the flop and Wolff headed for the exits.
Malinowksi didn’t put Wolff’s chips to good use because he was the next player heading to the showers. The German raised to 3,000,000 on the button, which left him only 600,000 chips behind. United Kingdom-based Spaniard Sergi Reixach called Malinowksi’s original bet from the small blind. The flop fell 6c-Kh-As, Reixach jammed all-in with Kd-Kc and Malinowski called with Ah-Qd. You need plenty of luck to win a poker tournament, especially against elite players. Thankfully for Haxton, Lady Luck was on his side.

The Kd turn gave Haxton outs to a diamond flush with the 8c river improving him to a pair of eights, thus, busting the dangerous Lefrancois from the tournament.
Lefrancois’ exit left Haxton to battle heads-up with Rexiach for the title. A staggering $149,500 was the difference between first and second place, but the star didn’t strike a deal.Isaac Haxton Joe Rogan
It took more than an hour to settle the tournament, despite Haxton enjoying a two-to-one lead at the start. He ground down his opponent to the point Reixach only had 4.5 big blinds at the final hand.Isaac Haxton Joe Rogan
